Oops. Forgot to blog this. My dream yesterday was really really weird. I got married and I can’t remember the poor guy’s face. I was driving our Montero and the brakes weren’t working. I pulled the emergency brake and somewhat drifted it then parked it perfectly, to my surprise. Was freaking out so I ran away from the car as far as possible. And when I came back panicked so much because the car was nowhere to be found. Hahahaha. How weird was that. I know a lot more happened, but that’s all I can remember. Dream interpreter, where you? :))

spiritualinspiration:

“Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life” (Proverbs 4:23 AMP).

When something is toxic, it’s poisonous; it can destroy you. When we go around dwelling on the wrong thoughts, thinking about what we can’t do or how we’ll never get ahead, those thoughts are toxic thoughts. Toxic thoughts left alone become like toxic waste that sinks into your heart. It will eventually contaminate your whole life. It affects your self-image. It affects your attitude, your level of confidence, and ultimately, your success. That’s why the scripture says to guard your heart because the condition of your heart and mind determine the condition of your whole life.

Make the decision today to detox any negative, self-defeating thoughts by meditating on God’s promises instead. Make the decision to detox bitterness, detox low self-esteem, detox negative words that may have been spoken over you, detox condemnation. Make the decision to dwell on what God says about you. God says, “You are forgiven.” God says, “Your best days are in front of you.” God says, “I’ll restore the years that the enemy has stolen.” As you detox your mind and fill your thoughts with His promises, you’ll see His hand of blessing on your life. You’ll rise up higher, and you’ll live the abundant life He has for you!

“Again I tell you if two of you in earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done to you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.” Matthew 18:19-20

Corporate prayers are as essential as the ones we have alone with God. And even twice or a hundred times more powerful. And I thank the Lord everyday for the community of believers with whom I can pray regularly. :)

When God Calls You To Lead

“Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap.” (1 Timothy 3:1-7 NIV)

I don’t know how and I don’t know why but these verses struck me like lightning. I don’t just see these qualifications only for the elders but for the young men and women today. Well, minus the marriage part. The children there, they were talking about us. How we shouldn’t be open to the charge of being wild and disobedient and that we should be perfect examples to our younger siblings at home and in church.

Proverbs 6:16-19

7 things the Lord detests:
Haughty eyes
a lying tongue
hands that shed innocent blood
a heart that devises wicked schemes
feet that rush into evil
a false witness that pours out lies
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.
